Howdy! I’m Jessi.

A Holistic Therapist specializing in Anxiety, Codependency, Burnout, & Attachment Trauma Therapy for Women in Fort Wayne, Indiana

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Indiana with a passion to help women feel more easeful, balanced, and authentic within their lives.

I help women find their voice again.

That inner childlike spark that helps them express their thoughts and emotions with more confidence, clarity, and boldness.

The kind of energy that allows you to build more authentic and fulfilling relationships.

The strong foundation that cultivates a life of balance, ease, joy, and playfulness!

I help women move from a place of anxiety and overwhelm to feeling peace and steadiness within themselves again.

I help women feel less confused about themselves and where they stand in their relationships.

I help women better understand who they are and gain clarity about what they truly want out of this life.

I’m also passionate about complex trauma and how these experiences impact us as human beings.

Many women I’ve worked with have a history of childhood trauma, including emotional neglect and early attachment wounds.

I’ve helped many women gain freedom from past trauma and connect with a newfound sense of purpose and identity again — so that they can live a life that’s truly aligned with their own values and dreams!

Where Lived Experience Meets Clinical Training

It’s tempting to fall into the belief that our own suffering and adversity disqualifies us from a place of leadership and influence.

Something I’ve learned as my own journey has unfolded over time? It’s often hard to counsel others within their own dark places if you’ve never experienced your own.

I have a history of complex trauma, anxiety, and codependency. I’m also a survivor of abuse in its many forms.

I can speak from a place of true empathy and encouragement from the adversity I’ve overcome through my own life experiences.

I’ve been a client and sat on the couch. I remember how scary it felt to open up to my own counselor about something shameful to talk about.

I’ve personally wrestled with heavy topics. And have felt paralyzed by life’s question marks — like human suffering and God’s place in all of it.

I’ve been the burned out overthinker. The girl with a deep fire in her heart — stepped on by other people who were afraid of it.

I’ve been through seasons where I hid my fire from others because I was afraid my authenticity would burn them. Would leave me completely forsaken, rejected, and unvalued.

Over time I’ve come to realize who I really am and what my identity is actually rooted within. Ever since then, I’ve had a deep desire to help other women do the same.

I know what it takes to step BEYOND the shadows of the past into life-giving relationships, inner peace, and true unabashed authenticity.

I’ve been in the trenches below and I have a deep desire to help you transcend the labyrinth to see the sun again as well!

My Approach to Therapy

I approach therapy from a holistic mind-body perspective.

We are incredibly complex creatures! Every layer is deeply interconnected with the other.

Creating a warm environment where you feel seen, heard, and understood is important to me.

I’m an eclectic therapist, which means I incorporate a blend of different therapy approaches tailored to your own unique needs and concerns. Some of the more common approaches I implement can be found here.

My style of therapy is collaborative and relationship-focused, to help you better understand why you think the way that you do, so you can begin transcending areas you feel “stuck” within.

Understanding your own life-story can be a powerful tool in harnessing new insights to facilitate positive changes within your life and future.

I’m not a therapist who pretends like I know the “whole” of you the first time we meet.

There’s almost always so much more to know about a given individual than what skirts across our mere surface expressions and first impressions.

I’m not ‘gonna slap some magical-catch-all diagnosis on you, toxic-positivity you to your grave, or tell you to drink more water to alleviate your depression.

I’m here for the raw feelings, the deep soul-searching questions, the dark valleys, and the euphoric triumphs.

And I always want you to feel like I’m truly seeking to see you for who you actually are and can become.

Let’s dive through the messy layers of what it means to be a human together!

What does a typical session look like with me?

I’m fairly organic with how I structure my therapy sessions. I often attune to your energy and intuitively sense where we may need to journey together on a given day.

I desire to meet you where you’re at and structure how we work together accordingly.

My style is honestly more of a flow than a “rigid structure”

. . . . more of a “river” than a “rock-slide”.

Instead of coming in “hard and heavy”, I tend to focus on the ebb and flow of your own energy and readiness to do deeper emotional work.

Therapy, much like a river, can be a powerful force in people’s lives. But a force that is highly attuned and aware of the power it generates.

A force with the intelligence and balance required to know both when to “hold” you and when to “push” you.

A force that knows how to carry you gently, then challenge you around the bend when you’re ready and needing to hear it

so that you can grow in a sustainable way that will allow real and impactful transformation to occur in your life.

some fun facts

You can typically find me ….

lurking in the woods, inserting SpongeBob references anywhere they could potentially belong.

Lifting weights, rope-flowing, writing poetry, reading, night skating, antiquing, gaming, forever on a journey to become a Yugioh dueling champion lol, jamming to any music under the sun, watching classic film …

and playing with my 3 sassy Siberian Huskies– (whose voices I often imitate as I’ve imagined them to be in my head when they’re exceptionally loud and need everyone to know it).

I value compassion, integrity, and authenticity.
